The Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy (BBHT) requires individuals working towards their LPCC to obtain a total of 200 supervision hours over the course of 4,000 hours (approximately two years working full-time).

Supervisees should aim to get at least 4 hours but no more than 8 hours of supervision per month. 2 hours of supervision each week is encouraged.

For LPCCs, supervision must be completed between 24 and 72 consecutive months, or between 2 and 6 years.

I am able to provide 100% of supervision hours to those seeking their LPCC and 25% of supervision hours for those seeking their LICSW. I am unable to provide supervision for those working towards their LMFT.

While all groups are held virtually, meeting in-person for individual supervision is an option! I am able to meet in-person from my office in Chanhassen, MN, Tuesdays-Thursdays.

I track all of my supervisees supervision hours and I keep notes of all supervision sessions, but you are ultimately responsible for tracking all of your hours.

I get it! Meeting with people you might not know and speaking in front of a group can be anxiety-provoking. You can do 100% of your supervision hours individually, however I strongly encourage supervisees to do regular group supervision because feedback and connection with peer-supervisees is invaluable, and it strengthens your consultation skills.

Topics typically covered in supervision include case consultation, ethical decision-making, DSM-V-TR diagnosis, treatment planning, career goals, and anything else that is relevant to work as a therapist.
